By using FixMyTech you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What we provide
Informational guides about consumer technology, and free tools that run in your web browser. Both are provided free of charge, without an account, and on an “as is” basis.
Follow guides at your own risk
Our guides are researched and tested, but your device, operating system version and configuration may differ from ours. Deleting files, changing system settings and clearing app data can have consequences we cannot anticipate for your specific setup.
Back up anything you cannot afford to lose before making changes. We are not liable for data loss, device problems or other damage arising from following a guide. Where a step is irreversible, our guides say so — but the decision to proceed is yours.
The tools
The tools process data locally in your browser. We make no guarantee that output will be suitable for any particular purpose, and you should keep originals of anything important. Compression is lossy by nature: a compressed image is not a substitute for the original file.
You may use the tools for personal and commercial work, including on files you do not own, provided you have the right to process those files. Do not use them to process material you are not permitted to handle.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for others.
- Attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the site or its hosting.
- Republish our guides wholesale without permission or attribution.
- Misrepresent our content as your own.
Intellectual property
Guide text, tool code and site design are ours unless stated otherwise. You may quote short excerpts with a link and attribution. Reproducing whole guides requires written permission.
Product names and trademarks mentioned — WhatsApp, iPhone, Android, Windows, Chrome and others — belong to their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
External links
We link to third-party sites where they are genuinely useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixMyTech and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost profits or device damage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
